Hello everyone!
An exciting morning for these 3 students and their teacher
and us. (Shad, Carina and visitor volunteer, Luke) when
we went to the site to see the new construction additions!
More windows have been welded in to the containers and
the kids got to see the school they'll be going to next
fall! They were very excited and there is also a picture
of plans that Dieumaitre and Adam, our main Haitian coordinators
drew up for the plan of the site for the fall.

CAFETERIA
The kids
were so excited to stand in their new cafeteria and hear about
the plans for their school!
The guys have been working to put up the foundation for them
the past few days. A library, storage and a sewing center I
think are going to be put there. Hopefully a computer lab too.
The Midtown Rotary container school windows and doors are getting
along on the welding!

are welded for the two classrooms, and the cafeteria doors
are welded but not yet to the containers! It's

I've
been putting together a packet of projects we'd like funding
for.. Like the wall, the new containers and the MARC container
school for people to contact MARC, E-Mail
Barbara Rose. |
I mentioned that the kids would love to have a playground-
and here's a picture one of them drew of one:) also
a picture of a fruit and vegetable lesson today- the
teachers asked the kids to contribute the fruits and
vegetables for a lesson and to eat later!

Hey all!
Doors are up, and the other foundation is underway, with
the addition of piers to support the containers poured
yesterday.

NEW CONTAINER FLOOR PANELS

I hope all is well!! These are some updates of the other
containers, our group decided that the crane driver was
taking too long and they wanted to get the floor panels
on for the containers. They are pretty heavy but the guys
were determined to get construction moving again! I think
we are calling someone with a fork lift.

Hey
there!! Some news on the other container building but none
for the MARC:( I guess we are waiting for info on finishing
the roof. But the crane came last week, moved that one container
with the beams and then the machine broke! So we are waiting
for the driver to call back
