GOALS
The 2009-2010 programs and goals for Midtown Atlanta Rotary will be in line with the goals of Rotary International, which are – Health and Hunger, Clean Water, and Literacy.  While our major emphasis will be dedicated to eradication of childhood illiteracy, we will begin to add programs in the other areas.
FOCUS 2009-2010
  • Increasing membership by 15%
  • Establishing a Retention Committee that works with all members to keep them engaged and active
  • Conducting a Fundraising Event at East Lake Golf Club and raising serious funds to support our projects
  • Focusing our major fundraising and service projects to support eradicating illiteracy in Georgia
  • Working with our Atlanta Rotary Coalition–Midtown, Downtown, Buckhead and Peachtree–to support our troops on special projects and support other service projects
  • Increasing participation at the District Assembly and the District Conference in 2010
  • Continuing our partnership with ALS, assisting in ramp building as well as financial support
  • Upgrading and keeping current our MARC web site, which will help spread the word of MARC and RI
  • Building fellowship within the club to keep MARC interesting and strong
  • Encouraging members to become Paul Harris Fellows and Fred Storey Foundation members/supporters
  • Continuing to support Hospital Albert Schweitzer in Haiti and it's children
  • Encouraging all members to be committed to at least one project, office or special program to develop new ideas and energy
  • Working with Fire House #29 to support them in their 50th Anniversary year
  • Hosting GSE team
  • Establishing a new local project in support of health and hunger
  • Enhancing our financial and directing involvement in our clean water projects in Haiti
